The truth is most of us have never been taught what to do with our emotions. As a result, we’ve developed some coping skills that aren’t benefiting us any more, so we’re just having a really hard time on the inside. Throw in some past trauma and you’re guaranteed to be suffering emotionally and mentally.
This is where counselling comes into play.
Emotions make us human. But how do we deal with them? Counselling helps you explore, process, and heal deep emotional wounds that have led you to this place you don’t want to be in. Together will find ways of coping that are more aligned with how you see yourself and your life.
This means learning new coping skills, unlearning beliefs and behaviours that don’t serve you anymore, reframing some of your experiences, and dealing with your inner landscape in a loving and compassionate manner that fosters growth and change.

Kudos to you for getting this far. Admitting to yourself that you’re not OK and don’t have it all figured out is hard.
No one wants to be seen as weak or damaged. The good news is you’re neither of those things.
You were likely dealt a set of life cards that you didn’t quite see coming and grew up around people that weren’t good at dealing with their own internal and external issues. So they missed teaching you a few key lessons in coping.
You weren’t taught how to handle or deal with your emotions when life demanded more of you, sending you into a spiral of high stress, anxiety, and even depression and anger.
The good news is you can get out of the rut you’re in by learning new ways of being and I’m here to help.
I’m a Registered Nurse and hypnotherapist here in British Columbia.
My hope is to help those suffering from mental health issues, recalibrate their internal environment for more inner peace so they can get their lives back. It’s possible even when those inner voices tell you otherwise.
